July Vacation 2012 Idaho

We had a great time in Idaho.  Our kids look forward to this trip all year, they love to see their cousins that they usually only see once a year.

Ryan bought some water balloons and the kids had a great time throwing them at each other.  I was surprised at how fast the balloons were gone...but with that many kids all after them it didn't take very long!

We had our traditional 4th of July BBQ at Brett's house.  Good food and good company.  Brett flooded his side yard while we were there and the kids had a blast getting wet and throwing balls for the dogs.

After the BBQ we were off to see the fireworks...Idaho Falls puts on a great show!

Can you see Mason's face?  He was NOT happy to be there...the fireworks scared him!

We did sparklers and had our own little fireworks show in the back yard a couple of days later.

July Vacation 2012 Lagoon

It is tradition for us to go to Lagoon every summer with Kerry and Patty's family...sometimes some of Ryan's other brothers join us too...but this year it was just our two families.  We had a great time as usual.  This year it worked out better for us to go at the beginning of our Idaho week...we've always gone at the end of our trip in the past.

This was the first year that we bought Mason a ticket.  He loved the cars and the small boat ride in kiddie land.  Anything that left the ground caused him great concern!
Mason really wanted to get on this ride with the other kids...but once it started moving he wanted off!

I only made it on one ride this year...I seem to spend most of my time in kiddie land with my boys these days!  That's ok...I don't know how many "scary" rides I want to go on!

Corbin even made it on a ride!

July Vacation 2012 Richfield

The first part of our vacation was a weekend stop in Richfield.  On Saturday evening we decided to go to a balloon glow in Salina.  We got there a little early so we stopped at at a great park first...the kids had a great time.  We only had a couple of kids fall off the merry-go-round!

The balloon glow was neat, but Mason was scared to death so we just walked up and down the street and left.

This swing was so fun!

Mason was so scared that he is hiding behind the stroller!
