I admit the last half of January has been a bit of a blur.  We made an offer on a different home and have been doing some painting and decluttering in our current home to get it ready to sell.  It has been a bit stressful for me and I have lost several hours of sleep but we are excited about our new home.

Other January events:

1.  I had a birthday!

2.  We went to the Polar Bear Splash...there were games for the kids and a pancake breakfast  Jenessa won the ice cream eating contest in the youth division.

3.  I went with the Kessiah and Jenessa to their Outdoor Adventure 4H outing where we went geocaching...it was a new thing for most people in the group (including us) and it was pretty fun!  I am looking forward to doing it again.

4. We went to the Gilbert Temple open house.  What a beautiful building...I think the kids were most impressed with the huge chandelier in the Celestial Room.  I am grateful for the opportunity I had to take my children and have them see the inside of a temple.  On the way home we stopped at the Phoenix temple that is under construction...it will be great to have a temple that is 1 1/2 hours away from us...it should be finished the end of this year.
