Our Week

We had a fun field trip last Thursday to a police station in Prescott. I think everyone's favorite part was looking inside the police car. It was a little challenging keeping Sienna happy...it was a little boring for a 2 year old. She finally settled down when we were outside looking at the police car and she found a spot where she could color in the coloring book she got at the beginning of our tour.

Kessiah's big event of the week was going to the ER. Ryan took her on Monday to rule out meningitis because she had a bad headache, nausea & vomiting, fever and a neck ache. I was totally amazed when Ryan told me how well she did getting her IV. Well, after 5 hours she was sent home with a UTI. She felt so much better the next day and has been fine since.

Sienna had her pulpotomy appointment at the dentist on Monday as well. She did pretty well until she woke up before the dentist was finished and he described her as being "angry" She was pretty upset for awhile but finally calmed down at home. It was a good thing that we did the procedure because the dentist said one of her teeth had started to abcess. (A little background on this event: Sienna ran into the horse while we were at gymnastics about 2 months ago and hit her front two teeth. The was a fair amount of blood and she complained of it hurting for awhile. In fact, she wouldn't eat dinner that night because it hurt too much. So, she killed her front two teeth and needed a pulpotomy. This proceedure involves taking off either the front or back of the tooth...in Sienna's case it was the back...in Jenessa's case it was the front. Then they clean out the dead stuff and put filling material over the opening.) For the next few days after the procedure Sienna talked about the "bad guy" who fixed her teeth!

Jenessa had fun dressing up this week after we started reading "Knights of the Round Table" She wanted to dress up like all the pretty women in the book and put on quite a fashion show for me.

Logan has started waving bye-bye and he puts his hand to his ear whenever he hears the phone ring!
